Participation terms

Frienship connects people sending personal packages from the UK with travellers already travelling to Lagos or Abuja. This is a limited, invite-only test and is not a promise of transport, delivery, payment, insurance, or customs clearance.

Personal packages and inspection

Senders must describe their package accurately, including its contents, purpose, value, weight, dimensions, and intended recipient. By submitting a package, the sender agrees that the traveller may inspect the package and its contents, as reasonably necessary, to compare it with the declaration and decide whether it is safe and lawful to carry.

A traveller may refuse a package that is different from its declaration, appears unsafe, is prohibited or restricted, or cannot be carried lawfully. A package described as a personal item between the sender and traveller does not override airline, airport, customs, tax, or other legal rules.

Traveller responsibility

A traveller who accepts a package is responsible for deciding whether to carry it and for following the rules that apply to their baggage and journey. The traveller bears the risk of that carrying decision, including delay, refusal, seizure, loss, damage, or other consequences arising from the package or its transport. Frienship does not certify that a package qualifies as personal baggage, does not act as a customs broker or carrier, and does not take physical custody of packages.

Safety and conduct

Weapons, illegal drugs, cash, stolen or counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, and goods prohibited or restricted by the relevant authorities or carrier are not allowed. Do not misdescribe a package, evade customs, share accounts, or use Frienship to threaten, harass, defraud, or expose another person’s private information.

Testing boundaries

The controlled test may pause or change. Participant records, identity checks, package declarations, and handoff arrangements are subject to the current privacy notice and applicable participation policy. Live money movement and real delivery are enabled only after separate approval.
